Dear Parents,

A big welcome back after February half term.  

We have a very busy half term ahead with our Book Fair arriving on Thursday 16th to coincide with Sychdyn World Book Day and we have Parent's consultations beginning on Monday 27th March.

The children have all enjoyed taking part in our recent Eisteddfod week and it was wonderful to see so many parents and grandparents at the event. 

We will continue to keep you updated with all these activities through our weekly school newsletter and the diary section on this website.

Bailey Hill

We loved creating our own coat of arms, using natural materials to build Motte and Bailey castles, playing games, exploring the grounds, telling stories and learning more about the fascinating history of Bailey Hill! 

Deeside Fire Station!

We had the BEST time at Deeside Fire Station with Year 4. We learnt about the incredible role of the Fire and Rescue crew in keeping our community safe. Whilst there, we tested the Water Boat, tried on the uniform and even tested out the hose on Mr Hamilton's car! 

World Book Day!

Meet Mary Poppins, Harry Potter and The Boy Who Lived with Dragons (to name a few!) 

Cofiwch Dryweryn!

This week, Year 3 have been learning about the flooding of Tryweryn. After examining artefacts, researching key events and exploring how members of the community and wider Wales felt, Year 3 made placards and marched around Sychdyn to protest the flooding of Capel Celyn. 

End of Topic Tsunami Exhibition

To conclude our Planed Glas topic, Dosbarth Alyn & Clwyd invited different classes to visit their Tsunami Exhibition. They blew us away with their ability to work as effective teams, showcase their hard work and share their subject knowledge with others. Da iawn pawb!
